Carhartt Sandstone Winter Coat is made from 12-ounce, 100% cotton sandstone duck with plied yarns. Very durable. It resists snags and tears and is micro-sanded and garment-washed for a soft finish that is both pliable and comfortable to wear.
There's also a corduroy top collar with snaps underneath for the optional hood, which gives the option of adding extra protection against the elements.
The front closure is enhanced by a two-way brass zipper with an inside wind flap and velcro closures and has two extra-large front pockets and two chest pockets with velcro closures for keeping hands warm if necessary
Triple-stitched main seams for extreme durability, fit cut for better range of motion and comfort, a rib-knit storm cuff in the sleeves. Inside, the lining is nylon that is quilted to arctic-weight polyester.
